Dafne’s Defeat and Justice for the Traitors
The episode kicks off with absolute chaos and some much-needed justice. Evrenos Bey is finally cleared of all the terrible slander thrown his way. It turns out that Anastasya is actually Andreas’s daughter, and Dafne was the mastermind behind the dark games. Things get incredibly intense when Dafne makes a final, desperate move to harm Halime. Just when you think it’s over, Asporça steps in and makes the most difficult decision of her life—she takes Dafne’s life to save Halime.
Later on, we see a deeply emotional conversation between Asporça and Nilüfer. Asporça is heartbroken because Dafne was her sister, but she knew she had to stop the evil. In a really touching moment, Nilüfer holds her hands and tells her that she did the right thing and that she would have done the exact same in her place. This scene completely cemented the strong bond between Asporça and Nilüfer. Meanwhile, Orhan finally confronts the traitor Yiğit. Orhan tells him straight to his face that his dark ambitions and pride have destroyed him, proving once again that evil is always doomed to fail. Yiğit is stripped of his false power and taken away to face his punishment.
The Byzantine Trap in Kurulus Orhan Episode 26 (FİNAL)
Over in the Byzantine camp, Emperor Andronikos and Andreas are plotting a massive and cowardly attack. Andreas knows that the Turkish tribes migrate to their summer pastures during this time, leaving their camps vulnerable. They plan to march an army of 8,000 heavily armored soldiers from Constantinople to wipe out the Ottomans. To make things worse, they arrange for a naval fleet led by the traitor Demirhan to trap Orhan from the sea.
But Orhan is not easily fooled. In one of the best strategic moments in Kurulus Orhan Episode 26 (FİNAL), he gathers his Beys and completely turns the trap around. He knows the Byzantine soldiers wear heavy armor, so he orders his men to take control of the high hills around Eskihisar. His plan is to force the tired enemy to fight uphill and completely break their ranks before they even realize what hit them.
A Beautiful Start: The Fatma and Evrenos Wedding
Before the massive war begins, Orhan decides that life and hope must continue. The tribe comes together for the long-awaited Fatma and Evrenos wedding. It is such a beautiful and joyful break from all the heavy tension. The traditional ceremonies, the smiles, and the stunning dresses really warmed my heart.
Evrenos gives Fatma a very unique wedding gift—soil brought all the way from Rumeli. He tells her that this soil represents their new future and that wherever she steps will be his homeland. When Orhan officially ties their knot, he gives a powerful speech. He tells Evrenos that he isn't just handing over his beloved sister, but he is entrusting him with the future of the Ottoman state. He commands them to go to Rumeli and establish the first Ottoman homes there. It was a perfect send-off for two of our absolute favorite characters.
The Fall of Şahinşah
While the Kayı tribe celebrates love and future victories, the traitors face their miserable ends. Şahinşah, who caused so much pain and betrayed his own blood for power, completely loses his mind. After the death of his son, he is seen wandering aimlessly in the dirt, talking to himself and imagining his son is still alive. The guilt and the loss break his sanity entirely. It was a dark but fitting end for someone who let his greed destroy his family. On the flip side, Dursun Bey stands tall and loyal to Orhan, ready to fight against his own brother Demirhan to restore the honor of the Karesi Beyliği.
The Conquest of Aydos and Samandıra
As the episode ramps up to its climax, Orhan sends his bravest commanders, including Karaca Ahmet and Turan Alp, to strike the enemy castles. The battle sequences are thrilling. The Alps storm the gates, fighting fiercely until they finally secure the Conquest of Aydos and Samandıra. Watching the Islamic flags being raised over those stone walls was so satisfying. This huge victory clears the path all the way to Üsküdar and leaves the Emperor completely exposed and panicked.
Must-Watch Moment
You absolutely cannot skip the scene right before the final battle where Orhan visits the grave of his father, Osman Gazi. It is an incredibly moving and quiet moment. Orhan talks to his father, promising that the holy flag will be carried far and wide, and that his legacy will never be forgotten. Right after this emotional prayer, Orhan stands before his massive army. He delivers a spine-chilling speech, reminding every single soldier that they aren't fighting for dirt or gold, but for the word of Allah. When the thousands of Alps raise their swords and shout in unison, you will literally get goosebumps.
A Flash-Forward to Orhan's Legacy
Instead of showing the entire final battle in real-time, the creators made a brilliant choice to give us a flash-forward ending. The scene shifts to the future, where a wise Lala is teaching a young Şehzade about the legendary Sultan Orhan. He narrates how Orhan crushed the Emperor at the Battle of Pelekanon, forcing him to flee for his life wrapped in a carpet.
The narrator continues to explain how Orhan conquered the great city of Iznik, turned the Hagia Sophia into a beautiful mosque, and established the first madrasahs. He also mentions the sad fate of Dursun Bey, who was later killed by his brother, leading Orhan to fully annex the Karesi lands to the sea. The episode ends with the powerful message that Orhan Gazi laid the ultimate foundation for a world empire before passing the torch to his sons, Murad and Bayezid.
It was a beautiful, satisfying, and deeply historical way to end the series. I couldn't have asked for a better finale! Keep checking back on Historic Point for more drama discussions and updates!
